How to Measure Your Dog for a Jacket
Correct sizing is important for both comfort and safety.
Step 1 — Measure the Back Length
Measure from the base of the neck to the start of the tail.
Step 2 — Measure the Chest
Measure around the widest part of your dog’s chest, just behind the front legs.
Step 3 — Measure the Neck
Measure around the base of the neck where the jacket naturally sits below the collar line
Fitting Instructions
A properly fitted jacket should allow your dog to move comfortably without restriction.
When fitting your jacket:
- Ensure the jacket sits comfortably across the back and chest
- Fasten securely using the hook and loop fasteners
- Check that movement, breathing, and toileting are not restricted
- You should be able to comfortably fit fingers between the jacket and your dog’s body
- Recheck fit regularly, especially for growing dogs or thick winter coats
